Ripa, however, called the room “extraordinary” and noted that there are “beautiful mannequins and everything is dressed.” She said, “It’s beautiful. The kind of museum I would want to go to.”
Cox explained that she enjoys the intersection of fashion and art. “When I did a video for Mugler, I dressed mannequins for the first time and discovered my love for dressing mannequins. It’s a strange thing to discover in your 50s,” she said. “They’re like life-sized Barbies. And I had the clothes in storage and I was like, ‘These are like works of art, I should be enjoying them. They should be on mannequins so I can enjoy them every day.’ "
Consuelos joked, “You’re in this glamorous closet doing the podcast, while Kelly’s in our son’s room with comic books.”
The Daytime Emmy winner jumped to Ripa’s defense, saying, “These are the choices you make when you have kids,” as the two talk show hostsshare three kids. “What’s so beautiful about my life is my disposable income, I don’t have to worry about a college fund or private school. I can worry about fashion!”
Cox’s showClean Slatepremieres Feb. 6 on Prime Video and follows the actress as Desiree, a proud trans woman who returns to her small town in Alabama when her New York City art gallery goes under. There, she reconnects with her father whom she has not seen since before her transition.
