Maine Cabin Mastersstar Matt “Dixie” Dix’s wife Ginna has died at the age of 48.

“We are heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of Ginna Dix,” the post reads. “Beloved wife of Dixie, God Daughter to [Dixie’s co-star] Ryan [Eldridge]’s parents, and friend to so many. Ginna was a huge part of the Maine Cabin Masters family and will be missed tremendously.”

“We thank you all for your love and support, but ask that you give the Maine Cabin Masters team privacy at this time,” the announcement concludes.

Included in the post are photos of Ginna throughout her life, including pictures of her and Dixie when they were younger, and some of the couple posing with their dogs.

Ginna studied nursing at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire and spent several years working as a registered nurse in Maine. She later got her masters at Purdue University in 2018 to launch her career as a nurse practitioner.

In a tribute to Ginna, Dixie’sCabin Masterscostar and lifelong friend Ryan Eldridge recalled growing up with Ginna and sharing many fond memories together. His Feb. 5Instagram tributefeatured photos of the two, including one when they were kids.

“We were born on the same day two years apart, our parents were best friends, you married my best friend,” he begins the caption.

He then recalls how Ginna “could be one of the boys riding around inside the house on bicycles on Iron Mine Hill and at that same time be the powerful, no nonsense women you came to be.”

Eldridge also remembers witnessing the moment Ginna and Dixie first met in the touching post.

“I was there the night you and Matty locked eyes and were dancing on the countertops. You have been a big part of my life since day one and left this world way too soon, but you sure did make a mark in your short time,” he writes, adding, “I love you Gin!”

Maine Cabin Mastersfollows Eldridge and Dixie as they renovate vacation “camps” alongside contractor and boss Chase Morrill, his decorator sister and Eldridge’s wife Ashley Morrill, and another childhood friend, Jared “Jedi” Baker.

While their Kennebec Cabin Company headquarters is located in their hometown of Manchester, Maine, the group works to restore historic properties all over the state.
