Mariah Carey Cancels Pittsburgh Concert Hours Before Show Due to Flu: 'Breaks My Heart'

Mariah Careycanceled her Pittsburgh concert hours before she was scheduled to perform on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer, 55, announced the news onX(formerly Twitter), revealing that she came down with the flu.

“Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I’ve come down with the flu,” she wrote. “It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight’s show. I love you all so much.”

The superstar singer was set to perform at Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena forMariah Carey’s Christmas Time tour. TicketMaster also noted the cancelation on itswebsite, telling ticket buyers they will be issued a full refund.

Her next scheduled date is Friday, Dec. 13, at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. It’s unclear if she will be able to perform for this show.

It doesn’t appear that she’s rescheduled her Pittsburgh concert.

The cancelation comes after Carey’s popular holiday hit, “All I Want for Christmas You,“returned to the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chartthis week.

The proud mom shared the sweet moment onInstagram.

“Last night on stage in Raleigh, North Carolina, I found out that All I Want For Christmas Is You returned to#1on the Billboard Hot 100,” she wrote. “I couldn’t have dreamed of a better time or place to celebrate the news than on stage with my amazing fans, my kids and my#Christmastimetour family. I love you and am so grateful to you all ❤️❤️❤️ M.”
