As previously reported, Underwood performed at Trump’s second inauguration in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 20, when she ultimatelysang a cappella, asking attendees to join her. Other performers throughout Trump’s inaugural events included the Village People,NellyandBilly Ray Cyrus.

As for Moroney, elsewhere in herRolling Stonecover story, the country star opened up about her fandom ofJustin Bieberand discussed her decision to remain single since last year following a split from “a regular finance dude.”

“I feel like I’ve always had bad taste in men,” she said. “I had a really sweet boyfriend in fifth grade, and I broke up with him because I wanted to date the eighth-grade bad boy who had failed a bunch of times… I don’t know if this song will make my next album, but an opening line is ‘I know how to pick them. Copy, paste.’”

As Moroney explained, when it comes to her own rising star, she could “not imagine going through the past year if I was upset and crying over a dude.”

Speaking with PEOPLE in July 2024, the “No Caller ID” singer shared that she hadnever “been more single.”“I really don’t have time for it right now,” she said. “I tried dating for a second and then I quickly realized that now is not the time. I think in the album you get that vibe. The love songs were very short-lived!”

Moroney added, “Unfortunately a lot of my personal life revolves around my work life, so that’s why dating right now is just not something that’s in the front of my mind. I don’t really worry about it too much.”

The months to come will mark plenty of touring for Moroney, who kicks off a headlining run of shows in March and will remain on the road through October. Other highlights this year include her forthcoming Rulebreaker Award at theBillboardWomen in Music Awards.
