Michael B. Jordan's Longest Romantic Relationship Lasted Just Over 1 Year: 'I'm Not Tripping Over It'

Michael B. Jordanis not too worried about his relationship history.

Jordan, 38, sat down withGQto promote his upcoming movieSinnersin an article published Wednesday, Feb. 12. In his chat, theCreedactor noted that his love life is “the subject he’s least excited to offer any comment on.” PerGQ, Jordan said that his longest relationship ever “lasted just over a year,” though he did not get into specifics.

“I’m not tripping over it,” he continued when prompted to speak about hisromantic life. “I’m so work-focused. I would want somebody to fit into the flow of my life, of where I am. And that’s timing, right? You can meet the right person, and be at the wrong time, and it just doesn’t work out."

Over the last 10 years, Jordan has been romantically connected to Kendall Jenner, Kiki Layne and Cindy Bruna; he most notably dated Steve Harvey’s daughterLori Harveybetween 2020 and 2022. A source close to the former couple confirmed to PEOPLE in June 2022 that they hadbroken up.

“I think the person that’s going to be right for me lines up with the timing with who she is as a person, where I’m at in my life, how open I am to even … to that, you know?” Jordan added toGQregarding his personal life.

At that time, a source close to Harvey, 28, told PEOPLE that she “wasn’t ready to commit” while focusing on her career and that she and Jordan “realized that they weren’t on the same page” while they “were making plans for their future.” At the same time, a source noted that Jordan “let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time.”

Even with that movie in the works, Jordan already told the outlet that he plans to direct “something original next” and would ideally like to direct movies in the future that he does not star in himself.
