Morgan Wallenis finally getting his bar sign.
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Nashville Metro Council voted to approve the country star’s request for a sign to be hung above his Broadway bar — This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen — nearly seven months after the Metro Council denied the permit application,WSMV reports.

At the time, Councilwoman at Large Delishia Porterfield noted Wallen’s past behavior while explaining her decision, including histhen-felony chargesfor throwing a chair off a sixth-floor bar rooftop and the video of himusing a racial slurin a video unearthed in 2021.
“We want to make sure that Nashville was a supportive place for everyone, so I don’t want to see a billboard with the name of a person who’s throwing chairs off of balconies and who is saying racial slurs, using the N-word, so I’m voting no," she said.
News of the sign’s approval comes days after Wallenappeared in court to accept a plea deal and was sentencedin the Aprilchair-throwing incident.

On Thursday, Dec. 12, a judge in Nashville sentenced Wallen to one week of incarceration, to be served at a DUI education center, as well as two years' probation — one year for each of his misdemeanor charges for reckless endangerment. Additionally, the “Wasted on You” star must also pay a $350 fine and court fees.
“Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation,” his attorney Worrick Robinson IVtold PEOPLE in a statement.
Wallen pleaded conditionally guilty due to judicial diversion. Should he successfully complete the terms of his probation, he will have his charges eligible for dismissal and expungement.
