My Spacious, Timeless Dresser Looks So Similar to a $1,999 Version — but It’s 85% Cheaper

As a shopping writer that spends all her time scouring the internetfor the best deals on home items, it should come as no surprise that I’m rather strategic aboutmy own personal purchases, too. While I love high-end retailers, I keep my splurging to a minimum and seek out similar, more affordable alternatives.

Myrattan-style dresserfrom Wayfair is my most recent success story. Not only does it have a laundry list of benefits all on its own, but it looks so much like the$1,999 Pottery Barn designI was initially tempted to buy. And right now, it’s on sale for just $300.

With a total of six drawers, three per piece, the dresser offers ample room for my clothes and accessories. In fact, it fits so much that I’ve been able to free up extra space in my closet as a result. The drawers are super spacious and provide an ideal organization system for folded pieces and handbags. I even added drawer organizers to one to neatly arrange my sunglasses, hair tools, and other essentials that just didn’t have a designated spot in my apartment.

The style of the dresser is neutral and classic with a touch of coastal influence, just like the Pottery Barn iteration. It even has the same rattan detailing. However, my version features elegant gold hardware on the drawers that make it feel sophisticated and luxe.

Shoppers agreed that it “holds a lot of items in the drawers” and makes their bedroom “feel big and chic.” One customer said it’s a “beautiful piece” that they use on “both sides of [their] king-sized bed.” They added that it’s the ideal “height to use as a nightstand,” too.
