The content creator, 23, took her 15 million-plus followers on a trip down memory lane on Monday, Dec. 29 when she posted a throwback video of her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, proposing to her five years ago in celebration of their engagement anniversary.

“I can’t believe this was 5 years ago today!!🤍 I wish I could tell 18 year old me just how beautiful life would become and that 5 years later we’d be building our dream life and family,” her caption began alongside the clip shared on bothInstagramandTikTok.

In the video, a young Lucky (who’s now 26) is seen giddy on a beach recapping the moment he proposed to Nara shortly after she said “yes.” During the proposal, he said his “heart was beating so fast” and then compared it to when they met for the first time in Milan.

As Lucky excitedly recapped the event on the beach, Nara flashed her ring in the shot. “pov: the guy you had a crush on at 15 years old proposes to you 3 years later after a few months of dating” read the overlayed text on the video.

Nara, who got engaged to the model in December 2019, married Lucky Blue in February 2020 and together they’ve welcomed three kids —Rumble Honey, Slim Easy and Whimsy Lou Smith. In the nostalgic post, she also revealed in the caption when her “crush” on Lucky began.

“After we got married I was thinking about our journey and realized that at 15 I saw an Ellen interview with Lucky and had a crush on him but then forgot about it until later😭” Nara added.

The influencer was referring to her husband’s first-ever talk show appearance onThe Ellen Degeneres Shownearly one decade ago. During the segment, Ellen Degeneres introduced Lucky as “the next big thing in fashion” — and he was only 16 years old at the time.

“Okay, to be quite honest with you, I’m a little nervous but I’ll get over it,” the then up-and-coming model told Degeneres when she asked if he was “relaxed and calm about everything” as he made his talk show debut in April 2015.

“Also, thank you so much for letting me on your show,” he continued to the comedian. “This is like an amazing experience, you have great energy.”

Nara has previously opened up about meeting Lucky for the first time, explaining that they initially met in person at Milan Fashion Week in 2019 and made their romanceInstagramofficial in November that year.

“I don’t create content for a specific type of audience, I just share my life and whatever resonates with people is what draws them to me,” Nara toldPEOPLE exclusivelyin a recent interview.
