Paris Hilton, the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton — the founder of Hilton Hotels — has spent much of her life in the public eye.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, she attracted tabloid attention in New York City’s social scene and latersolidified herself as a Los Angeles “It” girl.

Paris was born in 1981 toRick and Kathy Hilton. Her only sister,Nicky Hilton Rothschild, arrived in 1983, while her brothersBarron Hilton IIandConrad Hughes Hiltonwere born in 1989 and 1994, respectively.

Paris' father isRick Hilton, the grandson of Conrad N. Hilton, who founded Hilton Hotels. After working in the family business as a teenager, Rickgraduated from the University of Denverwith a degree in hotel and restaurant management in 1978.

In 1984, Rick forged a career in real estate when he opened Hilton Realty Investment. Nine years later,he partnered with Jeff Hylandin Beverly Hills to form their luxury real estate brokerageHilton & Hyland.

Rick has been married to his wife, Kathy Hilton, since 1979; for their 42nd anniversary in 2021,Paris shared a collection of photos of her parents on social media, adding a gif that read “relationship goals.”

Paris' mother is Kathy Hilton, who got her start as a child actress with roles onBewitchedandHappy Days, before moving on to other ventures such as fashion design. Kathy is also the half-sister ofThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsstars Kim and Kyle Richards,through her mother Kathleen Mary’s marriage to Kenneth E. Richards.

Kathy has made multiple appearances on the reality series since 2011. Sheofficially joined the cast as a “friend of” the main castfor season 11 and was a main cast member for season 12. He was ordered into a substance abuse treatment center in January 2016 for at least 90 days after allegedly failing drug tests and violating his parole.
