Peter Facinelli Reveals Why He Calls Fiancée Lily Anne Harrison His ‘Wife’ — Even Though They Aren't Married Yet

Lily Anne Harrisonisn’t officiallyPeter Facinelli’s “wife” yet, but that’s what he calls her.

PEOPLE exclusively announcedin January 2020 that the couple got engaged five years ago during their holiday getaway in Mazatlan, Mexico. Despite not being in a rush to walk down the aisle, Facinelli, 51, and Harrison, 36, already live as though they’re husband and wife.

“I mean, right now, it feels like the wedding is more of a party than making anything official,” Facinelli toldUs Weeklywhile attending the New York Premiere ofThe Unbreakable Boyon Feb. 19 at AMC Lincoln Square.

“I call her my wife. I treat her like my wife,” theTwilightstar continued. “So we’ll get to the paper and the party eventually.”

“It’s like, at some point we’ll get to it,” Facinelli continued of their future nuptials. “But every day is a celebration of love with her … right now, we’re just enjoying parenthood, being partners and when we get a minute we’ll throw a party and make it official.”

Back in 2021,Facinelli told PEOPLEthat the COVID-19 pandemic was what paused wedding planning. When the time comes to plan the big day, he said he’ll likely leave most of the details to Harrison.

“I’m sure I’d like to be a part of it, but at the end of the day, I think it’s more important to me that she’s happy and it’s her special day,” he said, adding that he would “like to get married on a beach somewhere.”

The groom-to-be also sharesdaughtersLuca, 27, Lola, 22, and Fiona, 18, with ex-wifeJennie Garth, 52. Facinellifiled to divorceGarth in 2012 after 11 years of marriage. Over the years, the exes have worked to remain friendly.

“What Peter and I ultimately wanted more than anything was to have our friendship back and be able to co-parent in a healthier way because we had been doing it all wrong for a while,“Garth told PEOPLEin July 2024.

Most recently, Garth and her husbandDave Abramsfound shelter with Facinelliduring thewidespread Los Angeles fires.
