Oh how we’ve missed you,Peter Kavinsky.

Netflix’s favorite boyfriend returnedin season 2 ofXO, Kitty.Noah Centineoreprised the beloved character for a brief cameo to give Kitty (Anna Cathcart) some sage advice in episode 6.

It’s revealed that Peter is in Seoul with the Stanford lacrosse team for a tournament, but naturally, he made sure to take a pit stop to visit Kitty at KISS (the Korean International School of Seoul, where she’s studying abroad for the year) and to hand-deliver some letters that Lara Jean (Lana Condor) found at their grandma’s house that were addressed to their late mom, Eve.

Peter also enlisted his girlfriend’s younger sister’s help to find the perfect surprise to bring home to Lara Jean, though he made sure to clarify, “It’s not a ring, Kitty, we are 22 years old.”

As for Kitty’s romantic life, though, Peter was totally up to date. When Juliana (Regan Aliyah) ran into him and Kitty on campus, she was friendly and introduced herself, which left him confused, as he said Lara Jean told him Kitty had “beef” with her roommate — the result of Kitty kissing Yuri (Gia Kim) while she was dating Juliana in season 1.

He also had plenty of questions about the love triangle she’d found herself in (season 1 ended with Kitty torn between her feelings for Yuri, Dae and Min Ho), but Kitty told Peter there was “no chance” of a future for her and Yuri — and that she didn’t even want one after how Yuri treated her.

As for Min Ho, who Peter called “the guy on the plane,” referring to the final scene of season 1, Kitty revealed that he was dating their third roommate, Stella (Audrey Huynh), who they call “the Ohio weirdo.” She also, of course, teased the theory she had that Stella was using Min Ho to “bring down his famous dad” (which turned out to be true).

Not all of Peter’s advice worked out that well, though. When Kitty tried to share her doubts about Stella’s intentions with Min Ho later in the episode, he lashed out. Luckily, Peter was still in Seoul to help Kitty process the fight.

“When am I gonna learn to just mind my own business?” Kitty wondered aloud to Peter. “All I ever do is ruin things for myself and for other people.”

Ever Kitty’s hero and no. 1 fan, Peter shut down that train of thought quickly as he reminded her of the integral role she played in his and Lara Jean’s love story: “You not minding your business landed me the love of my life.”

“Kitty, you have this killer instinct. It is literally your superpower. So you gotta stop second-guessing yourself,” he continued. “Who cares if Min Ho wasn’t ready to hear what you had to say? It doesn’t mean you’re wrong. You are Kitty Song-freaking-Covey, don’t you forget it.”

He also praised his costar, Cathcart, 21, who he said is “so wonderfully talented” and whose “work ethic shows in every scene.”

“It was amazing to watch Anna and Noah together on set; they have so much love and respect for each other and you can feel it in their scenes together,” showrunner Jessica O’Toole added. “The opportunity to include Peter Kavinsky in that journey was so exciting. I can’t wait for the fans to see Peter interact with some of their favoriteXO, Kittycharacters and to see all of the other juicy surprises we have in store.”
