Queen Camillais in the green room with a host of famous faces!
This green room, though, was one of Buckingham Palace’s salons — and she wasn’t taking part in a show.
Also in attendance wasDownton AbbeystarJim Carter and his wife Imelda Staunton, who playedQueen ElizabethinThe Crown, and Lesley Manville, who played Princess Margaret in the Netflix series.

Clarke took to the stage withNcuti Gatwa, ofSex EducationandDoctor Whofame, who took the role of Algernon, while Hugh Skinner played Jack Worthing.
Afterwards, as she met the performers in the Picture Gallery, Camilla admired the fictional Lady Bracknell’s fabulous jewelry.
“I like all your decorations,” Camilla said, to which Clarke quipped. “You can’t nick any of them. But if you want to fashion yourself like me.”

“I feel I could borrow a few, for a State Dinner. I think it would be just the job,” joked the Queen. “That’s a very big diamond.”
Camilla then asked Clarke if she has enjoyed playing Lady Bracknell, to which Clarke replied, according toThe Telegraph, “I have loved every second of playing Lady Bracknell, it was never something I ever expected to play."
“Fantastic, absolutely brilliant,” Camilla responded.

During the party, the Queen also recalled meeting Gatwa, 32, whenthey recorded‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, which she andKing Charles(when he was the Prince of Wales) did to support The Actors Benevolent Fund amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
“It was so much fun,” Gatwa said. “Thank you for having me back.”

After the performance, Sir Damon Buffini, the chairman of the National Theatre, thanked Camilla in a speech, saying, “It’s absolutely fantastic that you’re our patron. We are, after all, the Royal National Theatre. It means a huge amount to us to have your support,“Hello!reported.

“We’d like to see you more often. You could drag your other half along as well if you’d like to, we promise it won’t be too long,” Buffni added.
For Camilla it had clearly all been a hoot. “That was a very lovely occasion,” she reportedly told guests as she left.
