Rod Stewart Celebrates 80th Birthday with Ronnie Wood at Surprise Party Thrown by Wife Penny Lancaster: 'Fun Night'

Rod Stewartiscelebrating his 80th birthdaywith a familiar face: longtime pal and Faces bandmateRonnie Wood!

Just over a week after marking his milestone birthday on Jan. 10, Stewart stepped out with Wood and their wives for a glamorous night, which theRolling Stonesrocker commemorated on social media.

“🥳😎🎂Really fun night celebrating Rod’s 80th!,” Wood, 77, captioned anInstagrampost that featured him and Wood posing with wivesSally WoodandPenny Lancaster.

“Last night with @sirrodstewart @penny.lancaster @ronniewood celebrating Sir Rod’s 80th birthday ~ the most beautiful night. Thank you @penny.lancaster for being the best surprise party organiser ever, we love you both 💕🎂🎁🎈🎂🥳,” she captioned her post.

Stewart, who isset to play the Glastonbury music festivalin June, and Wood are longtime friends who play together in Faces. Though the group hasn’t released a new album since 1973, Stewart said in a recentinterviewthat the group has talked about recording new music.

The Grammy winner marked his birthday with anInstagram postthat featured a series of throwback photos of himself.

“Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes – 80 years young! 🥂,” he captioned his post. “What an incredible journey it’s been – from unforgettable moments on and off the stage to earning some truly special honors along the way. But above all, my greatest joy has always been performing for you. Cheers to the memories we’ve made and the ones still to come! #80YearsOfRod”

Wood also shared a number of photos of him with the star,captioning his post, “Happy 80th birthday @sirrodstewart! My lifelong pal is having a big birthday today! Please join me in wishing him a wonderful day 😎❤️”

Lancaster, meanwhile,called Stewart her “darling,”and wrote she was “so blessed to be sharing this day together with all our kids. Building more memories to carry with us into the future and to be held close to our hearts forever, I love you xx.”
