Genevieve Peto was nearing her due date while at work at Walter S. Miller Elementary School in Levittown, Penn., on Thursday, Feb. 27, when her day took a turn.

“When she brought the wheelchair, she took me back and I just figured I’d be waiting for someone to come pick me and she recognized right away that you can’t wait,” Peto recalled.

“What?!” the father replied, before those in the room where Peto delivered laughed.

Cora’s birth caught Todd unaware as well: He’s also a teacher and was about to start a class when he got the call that he was a father for the third time.

“I’m just so happy that she’s okay because when I think of all the things that could have gone wrong, she really was an angel, truly. We’re beyond thankful,” Peto said.
