The tennis champ, 43, has been documenting herweight loss journeyon Instagram after giving birth to her second daughter,Adira River, with husband Alexis Ohanian in August 2023. From the start, she said one of the goals was fitting into the maxi denim Valentino skirt she bought when she was pregnant.

On Dec. 30, the WYN Beauty founder revealed that she had accomplished just that, sharing a new video of her being able to wear the skirt.

“I have an audience today for this big moment of will it or will it not fit,” she began.

As she started unbuttoning the skirt, she emphatically said it was tight the last time she attempted to squeeze into it. While managing to pull up one side of the skirt to her waist, she said that the fit felt “better already.”

After successfully getting the waistband over her behind and securing the button and zipper, Williams observed herself in the mirror, even bending down after her friend encouraged her to “drop it like it’s hot.”

“Itjustfits. An ounce more, it wouldn’t,” said Williams. “I need to give myself credit,” she added.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Williams, who partnered with Lingo, a continuous glucose monitor from Abbott, this fall, revealed thatone of her goals for 2025 is to run a half-marathon. “It’s just like I have to do something competitive. I miss tennis like crazy,” shared Williams, whostepped back from professional tennistwo years ago.

As for why she’s so open about wanting to fit into the clothes she wants to wear: “Athletes and musicians, I feel like sometimes we think that we’re untouchable and that’s just not true,” she said.

“I literally don’t think of myself any different than anyone else. And I love to try to post relatable content. And I’m not doing it on purpose, it’s just who I am. I have the same struggles trying to fit in these darn skirts and I want to follow my health levels too. And I just think it’s so cool for people to see that, especially for me growing up in Compton.”
