Sharon Stonesounded off on the importance of accepting — and loving — your body as you age, even though it feels like it’s “collapsing.”
Stone, who pivoted from acting to visual art and is now apainter, continued, sharing, “I joke that my underarms have pleats now. I think, ‘Well, I had beautiful arms and now they’re strong and painting and like angel wings. So what if they have pleats? Maybe that’s what makes them wonderful now.’ ”

She continued: “Joan once described a man to me as a ‘bungalow — everything downstairs, nothing upstairs.’ She’s so funny.”
Stone maintains a similar sense of humor when it comes to getting ready for a red carpet event, joking that it’s “an entire transformation.”

“I call it the Mrs. Potato Head moment,” Stone said. “We put on the face, we put on the dress and we shove her out of the door.”
As she’s previously shared, she was given a “1% chance of survival” following her 2001near-fatal strokeand brain hemorrhage, but now is able to step out “on two feet in five-inch heels.”
“I can do it, and I made it,” Stone said, “and you can too.”
