Snoop Dogg's Daughter Cori Gives Birth to Her First Baby at 6 Months Pregnant: 'She's Perfect as Ever!'

Snoop Dogg’s daughterCori Broadusrevealed she gave birth three months before her due date.

“The princess arrived at 6 months,” Broadus wrote in her Instagram announcement. The post included a black-and-white image of their newborn daughter’s foot.

“I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that I’m His Child!”

Broadus then posted two Instagram Stories, informing followers that she had a cesarean section (C-section).

“1st c-section was success:) s/o to the man up above🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾,” she captioned the Instagram Story of her lying on the operating table.

Her second Instagram Story was also posted from her hospital bed. She explained she went to the doctors on Thursday, Feb. 27, because she thought she “just had a bad case of gas.”

Doctors told Broadus she was developing HELLP syndrome. HELLP stands for Hemolysis (the process of red blood cell destruction), Elevated Liver enzymes and Low Platelets. It is a “life-threatening pregnancy complication usually considered to be a variant ofpreeclampsia,” and it usually occurs during the later stages of pregnancy or shortly after childbirth, per thePreeclampsia foundation.

The syndrome “is very severe and can even cause death if untreated," Broadus told followers, adding, “[The] doctors told me thank you for coming and if I would’ve waited a few more days it would’ve been really bad.”

“Ladies please listen to your bodies and don’t believe everything you see on TIK TOK( talking to myself lowkey)," she candidly concluded the post.

Her fiancé and mother reposted the Instagram photo to their respective Instagram Stories on Friday.

Her mother, Shante Broadus, also commented on Broadus' Instagram post, writing, “My Berri 🙏🏽🙏🏽."

Broadus is Shante and the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” artist’sthird child. They also share sons Corde, 30, and Cordell, 28. Snoop Dogg also has a son, Julian, 26, from a previous relationship.

Broadus' daughter isthe rapper’s eighth grandchild. He is grandfather to son Corde’s four children, Zion, 10, Elleven, 6, Sky, 4, and his late grandchild, Kai, who died at 10 days old in 2019. He is also a grandfather to Cordell’s three children, Cordoba, 5, Chateau, 3, and son Symphony Sol, who turns 2 in May.

Snoop Dogg previously told PEOPLEthat being a grandfather is his crowning achievement in life. “My grandkids are my everything, because they all individually get a piece of my heart and they’re different,” he said.
