Taylor Odlozilcommemorated his late wife Haley’s 32nd birthday on social media on Feb. 18 — almost two years aftershe died of ovarian cancer back in July 2023.

Taylor, 33, posted a sweet tribute to Haley — who died at 30 — onTikTokandInstagram. He shared sweet videos and photos of his late wife with their son Weston and their family, including a family photo of the three of them at the end.

“Happy Birthday Haley,” Taylor began his post. “You would have been 32 today. I know you are throwing a big party up there. You would be so proud of your son. He’s doing so well! Miss you more than you know.”

At the time, the doctor had informed Taylor that Haley only had six months to live and recommended that he tell her the news after their honeymoon. He recalled how awful it was to keep the news from her and noted a specific comment she made while on the trip.

“We were laying in the hammock … and we were watching the sun go down and she looked at me and said, ‘I just feel like this is our last trip,’ " he recalled. “I looked away for a second and looked back and said, ‘Why?’ She said, ‘I think you just know when you’re dying.’ "

Thankfully, the couple ended up having more than six months together before her death. Taylor started documenting his family’s story onTikTok in November 2022, when he realized he was running out of time with Haley. In an interview withPEOPLEin June 2023 — weeks before her death — Taylor and Haley spoke about their decision to document their time and share their story with the world. They detailed the support of their inner circle and the millions who followed their journey online.

“It’s obviously not easy living and having your private moments documented,” Haley said at the time. “There’s no rulebook to dying and having that being filmed. It’s been very hard for me to — I don’t know how to live and die at the same time, [but] being very intentional and transparent with people is all I’ve ever really known to do with this disease.”

Haley also shared that the most important takeaways from sharing her journey online were to not “take your life for granted” and to “always have perspective.”

“Instead of being mad it’s raining, roll down your windows, smell the freshly rained-on grass,” she continued. “There’s something good in every day. Always be thankful for where there are good things. Don’t focus on the bad things.”
