The duo also made their first appearance together on social media earlier this week, with Doherty sharing a video on hisInstagramStories of the two in the car on Jan. 13.

In the short clip, Hassarati, 28, was behind the wheel while Doherty — wearing sunglasses that matched the reality star’s — positioned the camera to capture the moment.

Doherty has had public relationships in the past,datingDescendants 2co-starDove Cameronin 2017 in a whirlwind romance. After previously saying they took things slow, Cameron later admitted that the relationship was serious from the start.

“He told me he loved me within a week of meeting me, and has never taken a step back from that statement,” she said in a 2019 interview withSeventeen, where she also shared that the pair got matching tattoos two weeks after meeting.

They broke up in 2020 after nearly four years together, and Doherty went on to briefly date model Yasmin Wijnaldum in 2021, although it is unclear when the two broke things off.

In October, Dohertyopened up to PEOPLEabout how he related to hisTell Me Liescharacter Leo when it came to navigating adulthood and relationships.

“I really saw a lot of my younger self in Leo, for sure,” he said of the role as the new love interest for Lucy (Grace Van Patten), who throws a wrench in the never-ending cycle of her and Stephen’s (Jackson White) relationship.

“I mean, I’m 29 now, Leo’s not quite there yet,” he continued. “But I don’t know… I guess that young adult, you leave home and you’re in college for the first time and you’re on your own and you’re trying to establish who you are as a person and create this sense of self, but you’re thrust into this environment with hundreds and thousands of other people doing the same thing.”

There were also things about Leo that theGossip Girlalum revealed he learned to take into his real life.

“Doing what he’s doing, his own self-exploration and his own work, coupled with this new girl that he is kind of falling for, coupled with her past and their relationship, it was a big kind of mess of potential anxiety-inducing breakdown stuff,” he explained. “But I even learned from it as well. When Leo was confronted with an external obstacle, he definitely tuned into himself, and I’ve definitely taken a big chunk of that and tried to do that in my own life.”
