North Carolina homeowner Hallie Morgan is sharing how a landlord’s worst nightmare became reality for her and her husband, Ainsley.

In her lawsuit, Hallie alleges that her tenants, whom she names as Caitlin Poore and Kathleen Kennedy, flooded the two-story property a week into their year-long lease, then moved out with no notice as the home filled with water from intentionally damaged toilet pipes.

She took toTikTokto share these claims in a nearly 7-minute video on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

The Morgans filed a complaint on Friday, Feb. 21, with the Guilford County Superior Court, alleging breach of contract, intentional destruction of property, trespassing, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The filing demands that Poore and Kennedy cover the cost of repairing the damage, loss of rental income, and the Morgans' legal fees.

“Our home wasn’t just a rental property—it was a place filled with memories, where we brought our children home from the hospital, and where we planned for our family’s future, Hallie told PEOPLE exclusively. “This has been an incredibly difficult experience, but we are remaining strong and trusting that justice will be served.”

PEOPLE has been unable to reach Poore and Kennedy, who have also seemingly deleted their social media profiles. PEOPLE did reach the companies Hallie names as their employers.

Atrium Health shared a statement clarifying that Poore, “is still going through the pre-employment process and has not started their role with our organization. We take these allegations very seriously and are actively investigating.”

In the complaint, Hallie claims that the two women moved in on Sunday, Feb. 9, and were immediately dissatisfied with certain parts of the unit.

“When they moved in, they were informed that there were some paint touch-ups that needed to be completed in the kitchen just due to the removal of the popcorn ceiling,” Hallie says in the video. “They were unhappy that this didn’t happen in the expected timeline, but did express just how grateful they were with my husband’s overall communication, especially because they had a bad experience with a landlord in the past.”

Hallie goes on to detail additional “nit-picky demands” the tenants allegedly made in her TikTok, including a warning that if they were not met, they would move out.

One in particular was a red flag for the Morgans: to fix a toilet that was clogged with “their own human feces.” Hallie includes a screenshot of the text message from the tenant including the phrase in her video. The Morgans say they obliged and fixed the clog.

The landlords reminded the tenants that if they did move out, they would need to break their lease and forfeit their February rent and security deposit.

Hallie alleges this led Poore and Kennedy to verbally assault them.

Per the complaint, one of the neighbors allegedly told Hallie, Poore and Kennedy seemingly moved out on Saturday morning with a “number of individuals” in “what appeared to be a rushed manner.”

Hallie and Ainsley claim they rushed over to their property and were faced with shocking damage.

“As we’re pulling up there’s water covering the parking lot. There’s water on the outside of our house, water surrounding the property, coming out of the side paneling. The fire alarm is going off,” Hallie says. “We open the door and there’s water everywhere. The first and second level is completely covered with water, seeping through everything. Basically the ceiling is caving in.”

According to the complaint, the local fire department arrived and informed the homeowners that the tenants allegedly unscrewed the toilet and intentionally damaged the pipes. “We saw both of the pipes on both toilets were destroyed,” adds Hallie. “They completely destroyed our home to the point that it is uninhabitable.”

In her statement to PEOPLE, Hallie claims that when she contacted the tenants about the flooding, she claims that they stated they only wanted to return the keys and would not address the situation.

Hallie called the flooding “an act of pure evil” and has filed a police report and contacted the tenant’s employers. “It’s in moments like these when I’m reminded while God is real demons are too because this is nothing but demonic behavior,” she adds.

Hallie’s original post on the situation has garnered over 2.3 million views on Tiktok.
