The DunKings Are Back! Ben Affleck Enlists 2 New Bostonians for Dunkin's 2025 Super Bowl Commercial Teaser

They’re baaaaack!

Last year, Dunkin’smega-viral Super Bowl commercialbrought Boston’s elite (Ben Affleck!Matt Damon!Tom Brady!) together to form the ultimate coffee-powered boyband: theDunKings.

In a new teaser that aired duringthe Grammy Awardson Sunday, Feb. 2, the band appears to be getting back together — with some new stars donningthose bright orange jumpsuits— as a lead-up to the brand’s 2025 Super Bowl ad.

The new 45-second spot begins with theGone Girlactor aggressively knocking on a dressing room door marked forSuccessionstar and fellow BostonianJeremy Strong. Ben’s brotherCasey Affleck, wearing a pink fluffy bucket hat and bright orange sunglasses, tries to explain, “Jeremy is a method actor! He will come out when he is ready!" — a playful poke at Strong’sintense process preparing for roles.

“What is that?”theArgostarangrily interrupts, marking the triumphant return of Ben’s deep Boston accent. Casey answers, “Acting method from the book!”

“There’s a book?” Ben questions.

Casey explains that Strong is “doing research,” and Ben responds dryly, “I never did no research on nothin'! Look where I’m at!”

The pair argues before Ben barges into the Oscar nominee’s dressing room.

In a creepy-shocking-hilarious twist, the camera pans toThe Apprenticeactor doing anApocolypse Now-style emergence from an enormous Dunkin’ can, completely covered in slimy coffee grounds.

“What are you doing in there?” Ben asks Strong in a shaky voice.

Ben interrupts, “You’re an artist and I know what that’s like, but how long is it going to take for the bean method?”

“I mean, I’ll be ready in like three hours,” Strong says, leaning into his method acting reputation.

The spot ends with a zinger-meets-clue: Casey whispers under his breath, “You should have paid for Matt” (referring to Damon, of course), leading Ben to respond with clenched teeth, “I told you that.”

A message flashes on the screen reading, “Suit up, America” and “Feb. 9, 2025” — the date of Super Bowl 2025.

Although the Affleck brothers ended the teaser longing for Damon, it is unclear whether he or any of last year’s cast — that also includedBen’s ex-wife Jennifer Lopez— will return for the new commercial.

This is the third year Dunkin' will air a commercial during the Super Bowl. In 2023, Benplayed a Dunkin' employeeserving unsuspecting attendees drinks and treats in a hidden camera-like spot. Whilehe is working the drive-thru, a surprised Lopez drives up to the window. “What are you doing? Is that what you do when you say you’re going to work all day?” she says.

In 2024, the commercial went into overdrive, withBen, Damon and Bradyattempting to form a Dunkin'-themed boyband and crashing Lopez’s recording session. The success of the commercial led to a line ofDunKings-themed apparel(including the famous jumpsuits) and aBen Affleck-themed coffee drink.

Ben spoke exclusively with PEOPLE in January 2023 on the Massachusetts set of the first commercial. “I think people already sort of think that I work for Dunkin',” he said with a laugh. “In Boston, it was such a big deal. I think I became kind of associated with it, and this sounded like a fun opportunity to kind of play with that association.”
