Joshua Malina and Melissa Merwin have settled their divorce after nearly three decades of marriage.

The former couple decided to keep further judgment “confidential” based on the former couple’s “personal privacy interests.” However, the filing indicates the agreement “resolves all matters pending” between Malina and Merwin.

Malina’s rep did not immediately return PEOPLE’s request for comment.

In the Aug. 2 filing, Merwin did not indicate the former couple’s date of separation but noted they got married in 1996 and currently have no minor children. The pair share two adult children: 22-year-old Avi and 26-year-old Daisy.

At the time, Merwin noted that she planned to request spousal support from Malina.

Before their divorce, the pair stayed out of the spotlight, though in 2021 Malinaposteda sweet message on their 25th wedding anniversary.

“I married this knockout 25 years ago today! 💕,” he wrote alongside a black-and-white photo from their 1996 ceremony.

While Malina has starred in Will Bailey onThe West Wingand U.S. Attorney General David Rosen onScandal, his ex-wife is also involved in the entertainment business. She was a costume designer in several 90s movies, includingBad Girls,Point of No ReturnandDenzel Washington’sFallen. She now is a “flowering freelancer,” according to herInstagram bio.
