Timothée Chalamet Jokes Sister Pauline and Baby Niece Live ‘with a Group of People’ in a 'Forest-Type Thing’

TheA Complete Unknownstar demurred, explaining the he didn’t have a picture because his sister,The Sex Lives of College GirlsactressPauline Chalamet, has chosen to “keep her offline” after giving birth in September.

He then went on to share more details of his sister’s alleged living situation. “You know, my sister lives with a group of people in a forest-type thing in France,” continued Timothée, even adding that there was “no internet."

Von asked if it was located near Nancy, a city in northeastern France, and Timothée agreed, “Near Nancy,” before breaking. “No, I’m just f—ing with you,” the 28-year-old actor said with a laugh. “I’m sorry bro.”

Chalamet didn’t fictionalize his big sister’s entire situation, however. She does live in France, according to a recent feature inNylon, but the story doesn’t divulge with whom or in what sort of arrangement. And shehaslived in an artist colonyin the past.

The feature, published on Dec. 9, claims Pauline “currently resides” in Paris, where she also went to college. However, she grew up in an artist colony in New York City.

Speaking toVanity Fair,Pauline said a love of art “was in my family, and it was also really in the building in which I grew up,” adding, “It was always there.”

“None of my friends had any empathy for me. They were like, ‘You were at a social event,’” Pauline toldNylon. “I was like, ‘You want to film that and sell it to someone? I hope you got good money for that, at least.’”

Timothée’s appearance onThis Past Weekendis part of a whirlwind of press for his new film, aBob Dylanbiopic, out on Dec. 25.

It has already receivedencouraging reviews from critics, who have praised theDunestar’s commanding performance.

Timothée also garnered a slew of headlines as he debuted aDylan-esque hair color changeat the film’s premiere on Dec. 13, sporting blonde bangs and a blue beanie reminiscent of the iconic musician’s styling during the 2003 Sundance Film Festival. (Though he told late-night host Stephen Colbert that he hadgrown out his new thin mustachefor an upcoming role inMarty Supreme, Timothée noted that it also worked to riff on Dylan’s look.)

Pauline has been busy as well: On top of motherhood, she’s returned as the undergraduate Kimberly in the hit Max showThe Sex Lives of College Girls, the third season of which began airing in November.

“The season was really fun," Pauline said of the season. “Seeing our individual storylines become a little bit more specific, and also being able to interact with new characters.”
