Tom Greenis engaged!
The comedian, 53, announced the news via an Instagram Threads post on Sunday, Dec. 22. “Big news! Amanda and I are engaged!” he wrote. “I am the luckiest guy in the world. I love you Amanda. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from us to all of you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Though Green did not reveal Amanda’s last name or any other details about her, he shared several photos of the pair, including one winter-weather snapshot in which his new fiancée shows off her sparkly engagement ring.

Green’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE that Amanda grew up in the actor’s hometown of Petawawa, Canada. The two were both raised in Canadian military families and attended the same elementary school as kids. They share a love for “the country life.”
Green recently moved back to Canada after living in Los Angeles for 20 years, and purchased a 150-acre wilderness property and farm where he is raising horses.
While it’s unclear when the pair began dating or how they met, Green appears to have first posted publicly about their relationship in June 2024. “Thank you to my amazing girlfriend Amanda for the fun times out west that was an adventure!” he captioned anInstagram postthat month while also sharing snaps from a recent vacation.
Since then, theRoadtripactor has shared several loving tributes to Amanda, often referring to her as “beautiful” and “amazing.”
Green and Barrymore, 49, began dating in March 2000 after meeting on the set ofCharlie’s Angelsand married a little over a year laterin July 2001. Greenfiled for divorcefive months later in December.
“Drew is a wonderful woman,” he said in a statement at the time. “I love her very much. I wish our marriage could have worked out. I wish her much happiness.” The divorce was finalized in October 2002.
Their short time together entailed several tumultuous life events, including Green’stesticular cancer diagnosisand a house fire.
“[We] were young and kind of idiots … I didn’t know how to manage myself,” Barrymore said of their relationship while appearing onHoward Stern’s SiriusXM showin 2021.
“I’ve always said I was a woman in the boardroom and a child in the bedroom. I could go into a studio and pitch … but I didn’t know how to handle things in my personal life,” she added.

Green and Barrymore reunited on her daytime talk showThe Drew Barrymore Showthat same year, and theE.T.actress took the opportunity to tell Greenshe loved him.
“We have not seen each other face-to-face, actually, in almost 20 years,” Barrymore told her audience before introducing Green and welcoming him with a hug.

“It’s very nice to see you. It does feel weird, though,” Green told Barrymore. “Not weird in a bad way — weird in a good way. Appreciate it, Drew, so thanks for having me on the show. It’s awesome. This is cool. I actually think this is a nice way of reconnecting, actually. It takes a little bit of the pressure off.”
Barrymore replied, “Well, I respect and love you,” to which Green said, “Love you, too.”
In January 2025, Green will embark on a U.S. tour to perform stand-up comedy and music from his new country album,Home to the County.
