Leanna Lenee, the fiancée of Heisman Trophy winnerTravis Hunter, is setting the record straight after social media users accused her of being annoyed at him for taking pictures with fans.
In a video posted to TikTok on Monday, Dec. 16, Lenee defended herself against claims that she became upset with the 21-year-old Colorado Buffaloes star during his meet-and-greet at an Adidas pop-up event. The event was held at the brand’s flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York City on Saturday, Dec. 14.
“People are saying that I’m like, ‘What am I supposed to do? Just sit here?’ ” she said in response to aviral clipmaking its rounds on social media.
According to Lenee, the internet misread the interaction.
“That’s not what I said, first of all,” she claimed.
She went on to say that the people were Hunter’s fans, but employees of Adidas who were getting social media content with him after the event ended. She was simply trying to see what to do next after the event.

His fiancée said she had been there “the entire time, taking pictures, talking to them, everything.”
“I wasn’t annoyed with no fans, at all. I’m never annoyed with fans,” she continued. “So that’s what that was.”
Lenee said as Hunter was about to leave the store to head to his Heisman Trophy rehearsal, she wanted to know if she should go with him, or stay with his family — who were at the store, but shopping on different floors.

She previously stated that Hunter gave her “permission” to respond to the backlash she’s faced. Fans have accused her of getting upset with him for talking to cheerleaders at a football game, saying she was not his type and not standing up to cheer him on when he was awarded the Heisman Trophy.
“The things that I see people make up is truly crazy,” Lenee said on TikTok. “Because it’s not what happened, and I just think people are just finding every single little thing and trying to make it something it’s not.”

“Y’all hate on me and then y’all go hate on my girl. I feel the same pain that she feel,” Hunter said later in his video. “We’re unseperable [sic], we’re with each other. If she hurting, of course I’m going to be hurting.”
