Tyra Banks Admits She Was ‘Intimidated’ by Bridget Moynahan on theCoyote UglySet — Even Though They Went ‘Way Back’

On Feb. 26, Banks moderated a Q&A for the film’s 25th anniversary at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, Calif., where she spoke to former castmates Moynahan,Melanie Lynskey,Maria Bello,Piper Perabo. During the conversation, Banks confessed that Moynahan — who played Rachel in the 2000 comedy-romance — made her nervous.
Moynahan revealed, however, that she felt just as nervous at the time.
“That was one of my very first jobs and I was very intimidated. And Maria was so seasoned and she was running the bar and was also very intimidating,” Moynahan, 53, shared.

She continued: “I remember the very first scene we did, Tyra. […] We were inside that old 24-hour diner where we’re all kind of passing out the money where Violet first sees us and the way you just get up andstart dancingin the restaurant. I always remember my God, thank God she had to do that. I’m not sure I would have the courage. And you were always so bold and brave and courageous and just let it all out. And it was always inspiring.”

Banks, who played Zöe, remembered the moment as well, recalling, “I am in that bar going, ‘[Moynahan] is so tough. She’s so amazing. She’s so confident. She’s living this character. I’m terrified.’ “
“Well that’s how they wrote the character,” Bello, 57 replied. “Each of our characters were so strong in [themselves]. It was really well written.”

Later in the conversation Banks revealed where she thinks her character — the no-nonsense bartender Zöe — would be today.
