The actor, 61, stars inThe Surfer, from Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions, which debuted at theCannes Film Festivalin May 2024.

Cage hasn’t shied away from horror and thriller roles in recent years, including inThe Wicker Man(2006),Renfield(2023) and, most recently, last year’sLonglegs.

At theToronto International Film Festivalback in September 2024,Kiernan Shipka, his costar in the latter film, told PEOPLE she was “in awe” ofCage’s transformationinto its titular character.
“I love Longlegs — I mean, not really,” quipped the actress of the Satanic serial killer.
“I went to the theater and saw it andwas so obsessed with it,” added Shipka, 25. “And then to be in it, it is crazy.”
