After publicly announcing his relationship with Amy Luciani, former all-star basketball playerDwight Howardcan add another title to his résumé: fiancé.

TheDancing with the Starscontestant hasn’t been publicly linked to anyone since his relationship with WNBA starTe’a Cooperended in 2021, perRolling Out.Luciani famously dated herLove & Hip Hop: Atlantacostar Mazi while on the show.

So, who is Dwight Howard’s fiancée? Here’s everything to know about Amy Luciani and her relationship with the former NBA player.

They got engaged in December 2024

On Dec. 20, 2024, Lucianishared a clipof Howard smiling at a diamond engagement ring on her left hand. The post also included several other photos and videos of the couple dancing with friends and celebrating what appeared to be Howard’s birthday.

“I was enjoying you so much out of the public eye but here we are,” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you for bringing me back to the word. Anything I say or fuss about, first thing you say is ‘Did you pray about it?’ Then I realized I hadn’t being praying much lately at all."

She continued, “I’m just thankful, happy and ready for everything that’s coming our way. I prayed reallllll deep on a Thursday not knowing 2 days later God would send me a Bible totin, tattood giant with the same heart as me. Thank you.”

The same day, Howardalso shared two photoswith Luciani that he captioned, “Happy 😅♾️❤️ #blacklove #prayedforthis.”

They’ve kept their relationship private

Howard and Luciani’s engagement announcement also marked the first time they went public with their relationship. However, the former basketball player and reality star were spotted at events together in the months prior.

Luciani even teased the future proposal in October 2024. The rapperposted a series of imagesfrom a photo shoot on Instagram with the caption, “I’m somewhere between ready to be a faithful wife or the single wild friend for the rest of my days 🙃.”

She’s from Detroit

“The fake name I give to guys in the clubs has always been Amy," she said. “My sisters know. If I say Amy, they know this is not a guy I’m interested in … [and] Luciani just sounded gangsta. I just put the two together, Amy Luciani.”

She’s a rapper

Luciani told All Hip Hop that she had been creating music since she was a kid and started her career in an all-girl singing group called Entrance with her three sisters.

She later moved to Atlanta to pursue a solo career and released her first EP,Amy’s World, in 2023.

They’re both big animal lovers

In her 2023 intro video forLove & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Luciani said she owned a goat called Goatavius, a horse named Hershey, dogs and several sugar gliders. In an October 2024 Instagram post, though, the rapper shared that she no longer had most of her animals, including Goatavius, and thather dog was stolenfrom her front yard.

“Damn who would’ve thought my life’s plan would’ve changed so quick and I’d be living back in the city with only 1 dog,” Luciani captioned the collection of photos and videos of her pets. “I miss my sugar gliders Munchy & Crunchy too and I can’t forget my horse Hershey. Can’t forget my turtle Cash. I swear in the next year I’m buying another mansion and filling it up with animals. I hope to find a dinosaur.”

Howard also shares a love of animals. In a 2015 interview withBleacher Report, the basketball legend revealed that he owned 20 snakes and like Luciani, Howard also once had a sugar glider. He also bought a 700-acre Georgia farm in 2017 that housed cows, hogs, turkeys and deer, perSports Illustrated.
