The former couple met while shooting her 2005 filmFantastic Four, where he was working as a director’s assistant. They immediately hit it off, and Warren later revealed in a2022 YouTube videothat he fell in love with her “from the first moment.”

In December 2007, Alba and Warren announced they were engaged and expecting their first child. They eloped on May 19, 2008, at a courthouse in Beverly Hills, Calif. During their 16 years of marriage, Alba and Warren welcomed three children, daughters Honor and Haven and son Hayes.

In January 2025,The Honest Companyco-founderannounced on Instagramthat she and Warren were embarking “on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.” She officiallyfiled for divorceon Feb. 7.

The former couple first crossed paths in 2004 while working on the superhero action flickFantastic Four. Alba famously played Sue Storm, and one of Warren’s jobs as an assistant director was to take Polaroid photos of her wearing different contact lenses.

Not long after that, they started dating — butthey broke upfour years into their relationship because Warren was “really jealous” of the attention Alba was getting from other guys. He told iHeartPodcast’sWhine Down with Jana Kramerin 2023, “I was turning into an a——, and so we broke up.”

During that period of separation, the former film producer promised himself to find a “more productive way” to deal with his jealousy if they got back together.

They got married in 2008

After confirming that they were engaged and expecting their first child,Warren and Alba elopedat a courthouse in Beverly Hills, Calif on May 19, 2008. A source told PEOPLE that they applied for a marriage license at 11:30 a.m. and were married 40 minutes later. No one else was in attendance.

“It wasn’t planned," Alba toldGlamour U.K.in 2022. “It was literally, ‘Honey, do you have anything to do this morning?’ And [Warren] was like, ‘No.’ So I said, ‘Should we go to the courthouse and get married?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah.’ And then I said, ‘Can we get waffles afterwards because I have a doctor’s appointment? Will you come to my doctor’s appointment?’ And that’s how it happened!”

They have three children

Though the father of three isn’t very active onhis Instagram, he occasionally posts photos and videos of his kids. In May 2023, hebonded with Hayesover their shared love of monster trucks, and in September 2024, hethanked both of his daughtersfor “making Dad life so damn fulfilling.”

“I knew you’d have me wrapped around your fingers,” Warren wrote in a caption alongside photos of Honor and Haven. “I always assumed being a dad would change my life but I could have never imagined how much it would change my soul.”

He founded a men’s apparel brand

In 2013, Warren launched a premium sock brand calledPair of Thieveswith his longtime friends Alan Stuart and David Ehrenberg, per theLos Angeles Business Journal. They eventually expanded to offering men’s underwear, shirts and loungewear.

“We all have kids so we’ve always felt that so many things are geared towards Mom and their kids,” Warren toldVIBEin 2015. “There is not a lot for fathers and their kids so we thought because guys love socks so much, socks will be a fun thing to match with your daughter or son.”

Alba filed for divorce in February 2025

Afterreports of a breakupbetween the actress and entrepreneur surfaced in early 2025,Alba confirmed the former couple had split on Jan. 16.

“I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years - both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” theTrigger Warningactress wrote. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals."

She continued, “We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time.”

Alba filed for divorce on Feb. 7, citing irreconcilable differences.
