Jim Nantz has been married to his wife, Courtney Richards, since 2012.

Nantz proposed to Richards in 2010 while they were on vacation, and they married two years later. The couple have since welcomed two children together: daughter Finley and son Jameson.

Prior to Richards, Nantz was married to Lorrie Carlsen for 26 years before divorcing in 2009. They had one daughter, Caroline, together, who was 15 at the time of their split.

Richards supports Nantz in his career, often accompanying him to public events. In 2021, they moved to Nashville from Pebble Beach, Calif., with their children.

Nantz proposed to Richards in 2010 and they married in 2012

Nantz and Richards dated for about a year before he proposed to her on Sept. 14, 2010, while they were on vacation in Maine with his friendsGeorge H.W.andBarbara Bush,perPage Six.

The couple tied the knot two years later on June 9, 2012, at the Pebble Beach golf course in California.

Among those who attended the ceremony were CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus, CBS announcer Phil Simms, golfers Phil Mickelson and Fred Couples, as well as former NFL quarterbackTom Brady, New England Patriots ownerRobert Craftand radio host Mike Francesa.

Nantz and Richards have two children together

Nantz and Richards welcomed their daughter Finley and son Jameson after their wedding in 2012. Finley was named after Samuel Finley Brown Morse, the founder of Pebble Beach, Nantz toldGolf Digestin 2019. However, he added, Nantz purposely didn’t tell Richards of the connection at first.

Nantz is also a father to his daughter, Caroline, from his first marriage.

Richards moved to Nashville with Nantz in 2021

Nantz and Richards lived in California in a home overlooking Pebble Beach, which Nantz bought in October 2011.

When they purchased the property, the aim was for it to be ready to move into on their wedding night — and they just barely succeeded.

“By gosh, they did it. There were 45 people in the house doing the finishing touches the day before the wedding," he toldGolfweekin 2020. “We had our rehearsal party and the christening of the house on the eve of the wedding — we didn’t stay in it — and cut a ribbon. The next night, after the reception, I carried her across the threshold to our new home.”

In the summer of 2021, the couple relocated from California to Nashville, where Nantz oftentimes is based, so the father could spend more time with his family.

Richards accompanies Nantz to industry events

While Richards leads a private life, she sometimes joins Nantz at public events.

In March 2011, the couple were photographed together at the All Together Now: A Celebration of Service event in Washington, D.C., which brought together four former presidents, including both Bushes. And, in May 2015, Richards joined Nantz at the CBS Upfront at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Richards helps Nantz raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease

Nantz has been passionate about raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease after his father lived with the condition for 13 years before his death. The CBS anchor launched the Nantz National Alzheimer Center alongside Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas in 2011, and Richards has supported his efforts.

“In 10 years, it’s gone from something that didn’t exist to creating one of the foremost research and clinical care facilities in the world,” Nantz toldGolf Course Managementmagazine in December 2020.

He continued, “It’s an incredible building, part of the Houston Methodist Hospital, and they’ve got a team there of scientists and researchers who I believe are the best in the world. It’s just everything we wanted it to be.”

Nantz and Richards have gone into business together

In 2019, perGlobal Golf Post, Nantz launched a line of golf clothing with Vineyard Vines, after previously producing a limited edition necktie with a share of the proceeds going to the Alzheimer Center.

The outlet reported that Richards was involved in the venture alongside him.
