Troutt, a speaker and minister to athletes and churches, proposed to Prewett in August 2022 after less than a year of dating.

“Grant was waiting for me and led me out to the beach, where he had candles and flowers and a Bible with my new name on it,” the reality star told PEOPLE exclusively. “And the ring of my dreams! He was definitely worth the wait.”

In October 2022, Prewett and Troutt were married in front of 400 people at his parents' home in Dallas, Texas. The"classy and elegant" weddingwas extravagant from start to finish. There were thousands of white roses and nobody could miss the human-sized cake at the reception.

The couple became parents for the first time when they welcomed their daughter,Hosanna Rose, into the world in January 2025.

Troutt was born in Dallas, Texas on March 5, 1996. He grew up in his hometown and attended high school at the Episcopal School of Dallas, where he was a duel athlete in both basketball and football.

He’s the son of billionaire Kenny Troutt

His father is billionaire Kenny Troutt, founder of long-distance phone company Excel Communications. He took the company public in 1996 and later sold it to Teleglobe in a $3.5 billion deal in 1998, perForbes.

He has a background in business

Although hisLinkedInhasn’t been updated in a while, it says that Troutt works as a financial analyst at Blue Star Innovation Partners, an investment capital fund based in Frisco, Texas.

He’s a former college athlete

Troutt was recruited to play basketball at the University of California, Santa Barbara on a full scholarship in 2015, but retired a year later as a result of medical complications. He was sidelined for the remainder of the 2016 season with a hip injury, per hisUCSB bio page. Prior to retirement, his primary position was a guard.

He knew exactly what my year was gonna look like. And He is bigger.”

He was nervous when he first met Prewett

When Prewett and Troutt publicized their relationship onInstagramfor the first time in May 2022,The Bacheloralum reminisced about their first date.

“It’s been special since the first date: when u forgot to open my car door because we were both so nervous, when we barely touched our quesadillas at dinner because of our deep convos and intentional questions,” she wrote.

Fortunately, the date ended on a high as she notes that they “[ended] the night riding around listening to Drake in the car on full blast for hours.”

“I didn’t have brothers, so I’m just learning the male brain,” she told the outlet. “I’m like, ‘Wait, this is how you think this is? This is what goes through your mind?’ Honestly, in general, just being around a male [is new] — I’m just so used to being around females all the time.”

Prewett continued: “We’re just learning how to communicate, you know, [our] wants, needs, expectations. We have been just growing and learning so much. He is truly my best friend in the whole world.”

A few months later, Prewett told PEOPLE that the first six months of marriage were “hard” for the couple.

The newlyweds enjoyed a luxurious honeymoon at Las Ventanas al Paraiso — a resort in Cabo, Mexico.

Prewett and Troutt are officially parents. The happy couple welcomed their daughter, Hosanna Rose, on Jan. 20, 2025.

“She loves her daddy so much,” Prewett wrote on her Instagram Stories alongside an image of Troutt holding their daughter in the hospital.
