TheKansas City Chiefstight end met Mary when they were both attending Duke University and they began dating in the fall of 2020. The couple got married in July 2022, and two years later, they became parents with the birth of their daughter, Naomi, in March 2024.

Noah tends to keep his personal life out of the spotlight, but he has shared a few rare glimpses into his relationship with Mary on Instagram, including occasional tributes to her. In October 2022, the football star dedicated apostto his wife in honor of her birthday, revealing his sweet nickname for her in the caption.

“Happy Birthday, Bear!! Thank you for all that you do! You are selfless, kind, and loving. God blessed me with a stunning and amazing wife! I Love You!” he wrote.

She’s a former lacrosse player

Noah may be the professional athlete of the pair, but he’s not the only one with an athletic background. Mary is a former collegiate lacrosse player who competed on the women’s lacrosse team at Duke University from 2018 to 2021, per herplayer profile. In her first season, she ranked third on the team and helped lead the Blue Devils to the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

Prior to Duke, Mary played lacrosse for Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Georgia, where she was a two-time state champion and a three-time All-American.

She comes from an athletic family

Athleticism runs in Mary’s family, as she comes from a long line of collegiate athletes. Her brothers, Nicholas and Michael, both played hockey at Georgia Tech University, while her cousin played lacrosse at Ohio State University and her other cousin played basketball at the University of Pennsylvania, per Mary’s player profile.

She began playing lacrosse herself at just 7 years old, crediting her dad, Kevin, for introducing her to the sport.

“Lacrosse is not very popular in Georgia so my dad talked to the coaches and I played with the U15 age group … It’s safe to say I was the tiniest player on the field for about six years,” she toldDuke Newsin September 2017, adding that her father has had the biggest impact on her life.

“He watches all of the college lacrosse games and sends me highlight reels to learn from,” she continued. “Every Saturday for all four years of high school, he would spend two hours in our backyard running drills and teaching me things that have made me the player I am.”

She and Noah met in college

Noah and Mary ran in similar social circles at Duke and eventually met through a mutual friend, Mark Birmingham — Noah’s teammate on the football team and one of his future groomsmen.

“We were both friends with Mark, and the Bunker, or Mark’s house, was the place to be on the weekends,” the couple’swedding websitereads. “We would show up to the Bunker every weekend our senior fall semester at Duke for a night of games and Mark’s DJ skills.”

It continued, “Noah and I argue over who made the first move (it was definitely me), but that doesn’t matter. Soon we were talking constantly, going on dinner dates for Calzones, and my friends were asking me who the ‘handsome 35-year-old-looking guy’ was on my social media. The rest is history.”

She married Noah in 2022

Noahand Mary got married on July 2, 2022, at the Catholic Church of St. Ann in Mary’s hometown of Marietta, Ga.

The NFL star marked the occasion on Instagram, writing alongsidephotosof him and his bride: “Got my forever wifey!!❤️.”

She and Noah share a daughter

That May, Noah marked Mary’s first Mother’s Day with asweet tributeon Instagram. “Happy Mother’s Day to the one that keeps us rolling!! Mimi and I appreciate all you do for us! I love you!!” he captioned a photo of Mary cuddling with their daughter.

She and Noah enjoy giving back

The couple are very involved in the Kansas City community and frequently volunteer their time.

“I just think it’s a really cool organization that really helps these young men and women be able to develop certain abilities to go out in the workforce, to develop relationships with each other, to be able to learn new skills,” Noah told theKansas City Starin January 2025.

The cause was particularly special for the pair, as they are dog lovers and the proud pet parents of a border collie that they adopted fromMo-Kan Border Collie Rescue. “[PawsAbilities has] given my dog treats and toys, which has brought a lot of happiness to my life and my dog’s life,” Noah added.

She’s supportive of Noah’s career

Mary is private when it comes to her personal life, but she does make public appearances to support her husband.

After the Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl in 2024, the couple walked the red carpet together at the team’s ring ceremony in June 2024. Mary is also a regular at Chiefs games and has taken celebratory photos with Noah on the field a number of times, often sporting Chiefs-inspired outfits.

When Noah won his first Super Bowl with the Chiefs back in 2023, Mary posed with him and his siblings, Asher and Hannah, alongside the Lombardi trophy. Inthe shot, Mary wore a Chiefs red top, black leather pants, red and yellow Nikes and a black fedora-styled hat.
