In December 2024, the comedian announced the couple’s engagementon Instagram, writing, “Big news! Amanda and I are engaged!I am the luckiest guy in the world. I love you Amanda.”

It’s unclear how Nelson andThe Tom Green Showalum met, but according toThe New York Times, the pair connected after Green moved home to Canada in 2021.

According to a rep for Green, Nelson grew up in the comedian’s hometown of Petawawa, Canada. She and Green come from military families and attended the same elementary school as kids.

Today, Nelson is a yoga teacher, personal trainer and nutrition coach, according to her private Instagram.

She made her debut on Green’s Instagram in June 2024

Green first posted about Nelsonon Instagramin June 2024.

“Thank you to my amazing girlfriend Amanda for the fun times out west that was an adventure!” he wrote alongside several photos of the couple on vacation in the mountains.

A few months later, heshared more pictures with Nelson, calling her his “beautiful girlfriend.”

She and Green got engaged a few days before Christmas Day 2024

Green got down on one knee and proposed to Nelson amid the holiday season in December 2024.

After announcing their engagement, the comedian shared a videoon Instagramof his fiancée excitedly waiting for her diamond ring to be sized.

“I can’t believe it. It’s so pretty and you’re my fiancé,” Nelson said in the clip. “We’re engaged now. I’m so happy.”

She and Green share a love for the “country life”

After 20 years in L.A., Green moved back to Canada and bought a 150-acre farm, where he now lives with Nelson. A rep for theRoad Tripstar told PEOPLE that the couple share a love for “the country life.”

“I’m not really a Hollywood guy,” Green said during an interview withThe New York Times. “I started to feel like I wasn’t being true to my authentic self.”

Occasionally, Nelson will venture away from the pair’s rural oasis to support Green at his stand-up comedy shows.

In May 2024, she was spotted in the audience alongside Green’s parents at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa for the taping of her beau’s Amazon Prime comedy special,Tom Green: I Got a Mule!

While on stage, Green hinted at wanting children.

“I’d like to have kids. I still might have kids. I think I’m gonna wait until I’m 60 to have kids, just so that I’ll know them when they’re nice,” he joked. “They’ll go to college, ask for money for college and I’ll die, perfect timing.”

Later that same year, Nelson joined Green on a tour stop in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The comedian documented their “amazing dinner” at The Press Gang — a local restaurant and oyster bar —on Instagram.
