Walton Gogginsand his wife Nadia Conners have both worked in Hollywood for decades.

TheFalloutactor and Conners got married in August 2011, months after welcoming their son. While Goggins’ career has kept him in front of the camera, Conners’ work has been behind the scenes as a writer and director, known for 2007’sThe 11th Hour.

Goggins has often spoken about his love and appreciation for Connors, tellingMilitary.comin September 2011 that he appreciated her wisdom.

“I would absolutely agree with that statement that to be in a relationship with someone who has something profound to say about everything, that’s a real gift to have that in your union,” he said. “I do believe, ironically, that love is the great releaser.”

She is a writer and a director

Conners has had a successful career in Hollywood as a writer and director. In 2007, she debuted her environmental documentary,The 11th Hour, which was nominated for an award at the Cannes Film Festival.

“I can’t wait to do it again because I loved it and also I learned so much,” she told the outlet of her narrative debut. “I can’t believe what I didn’t know and there’s no way to know what you don’t know until you’re doing it.”

They had an awkward first date

Though the couple got married in 2011, they had been dating since 2005 — but things didn’t start off so smoothly at first. During a 2019 appearance onThe View, Goggins shared details of his “awkward” first date.

Unbeknownst to theJustifiedactor, his friend set him up on a blind date while he was supposed to be at a business dinner raising money. When he arrived at the dinner with his peers and Conners, she only wanted to hear about him.

“I didn’t talk to anyone there that I was supposed to talk to, and at the end of it, she said, ‘You’re going to take me home, right?’ ” he said. “And I said ‘Uh, yes.’ ”

He did just that and they began dating. It wasn’t until six months later that Conners realized Goggins didn’t know the two were on a blind date.

They share one son together

Goggins and Conners' only child together was born in January 2011 and attended his parents’ wedding when he was just 7 months old. The family have created special memories together through the years, frombuilding tables togethertoexploring the Hudson Valleyin New York.

For Father’s Day 2020, Goggins wrote asweet tributeto his son, sharing how alike the two are.

“I’d say like father like son but truth be told, in my case, I prefer like son like father. He is kind and earnest, thoughtful and funny As s—,” he wrote in the caption. “He is insatiably curious, empathetic and has taught me more about being a man than anything that has happened in my life.”

After the family relocated to the Hudson Valley, Goggins reflected on the difference between his and his son’s upbringing while talking about their new home withArchitectural Digestin February 2025.

“I’m a poor kid from Georgia. How great is it to have our child grow up around art and music and great furniture and all these things that are so life-affirming and expansive,” he said.

They got married in August 2011

Goggins and Conners tied the knot after nearly six years of dating in August 2011, and have continued sharing their love for one another on social media since.

“My wife… my best friend… 16 years I’ve had the privilege of celebrating this day with you… the way you light up a room…the way you’ve lit up my life and all those around you…the brightest candle on any cake,” Goggins wrote onInstagramin November 2021. “My God…that I get to walk this road with you…. How grateful am I. Happy happy birthday @nadiasomerset 🦂’s fuevahhh!”

They love to travel together

Throughout their relationship, Goggins and Conners have enjoyed a number of trips together and often try to squeeze them in between projects.

“As soon I’m done, I’m like, ‘Let’s hit the road, man!’ ” Goggins told PEOPLE in April 2024 of traveling with his family. “I don’t know how to be still.”

In August 2021, the familyenjoyed a trip to Italyand in December 2020, theyhit the road in California.

They are supportive of one another’s projects

Goggins has always been Conners’ biggest supporter, promoting her work on his social media.

In March 2024, Gogginscelebrated his wifewhen their movie,The Uninvited, premiered at SXSW.

They are also supportive of each other’s hobbies, and for both of them, as Conners toldAD, that includes collecting. “Design and art are two of the great love languages. Walt and I find each other in the things that inspire us,” she said. “Walt doesn’t buy a Porsche; he buys a Kerry James Marshall. That’s what he’ll stretch for.”
