Will Ferrellwould like a word or two with theOscars.
“Ask me if we got Oscar-nominated,” theYou’re Cordially Invitedstar said after Colbert, 60, praised the doc, which follows Ferrell and his transgender friend Harper Steele on a cross-country road trip.
“We didn’t get it,” deadpanned the comedian.
When Colbert jokingly said, “F— the Academy,” Ferrell chimed in, “Especially the doc branch,” referring to the nominators for the Oscars’ Best Documentary Feature prize. “You don’t want to hang out with the doc branch. What a bunch of losers.”

Looking out at theLate Showaudience, he jokingly added, “In fact, I hope there’s some of them here tonight. If you’re a member of the doc branch, suck it.”
