Will Reeve Says Wedding Planning Has Been Easy Since Fiancée Amanda Dubin and Her Mom Victoria Are Event Planners: ‘Dialed’ In

Will Reevewon’t have to sweat too much when it comes to wedding details!

The ABC News correspondent, 32, shared onLive With Kelly and Markon Friday, Feb. 21 that his fiancée Amanda Dubin, 28, and her mother, Victoria Dubin, are top event planners and have worked together to plan many elegant celebrations and weddings.

“Wait, you’re marrying into a double event planner family?,” hostKelly Ripa, 54, asked Reeve, who replied, “Sure am.”

He noted that Victoria, who is the president and owner ofVictoria Dubin Events, has been event planning for “25 years.” Dubin Events is “a highly sought-after top event planning firm” that creates “extraordinary experiences.”

Mark Consuelos, 53, chimed in, “This is the easiest wedding you’ll ever be part of.” The journalist responded, “I hope it’s the only wedding I’m ever a part of!”

Reeve, who is the son of lateSupermanactorChristopher Reeveand singerDana Reeve, said that thanks to the guidance of his future bride and future mother-in-law, several aspects of the wedding preparations have already been worked out about four months into wedding planning.

“We are so dialed, “ he said. “We’ve still got almost a year, a little under a year until the wedding and we’ve basically got almost everything done.”

Ripa joked that he just has to “show up” to the event “like an honored guest.” He responded, “Yeah, ‘Hey this is a great party! I can’t wait to hang out.’”

Reeve and Amandaannounced their engagementin a joint post onInstagramon Nov. 10, showing several photos of the special moment in front of a view of the Empire State Building in New York City, along with an intimate gathering with loved ones afterward. The pair captioned the post, writing, “Us 🤍.”

The ABC News correspondent revealed to Ripa and Consuelos on Feb. 21 that “there was some misdirection involved” in order to ensure that Amanda was surprised. He revealed that he disguised his proposal as “a charity event in Manhattan.”

“We walk in — and I’d pre-set it with roses and [a] cellist and a photographer — and we walk in and she’s like, ‘Oh, it’s beautiful!’ And Amanda starts taking video of the event because she’s an event planner, so she’s getting inspiration,” he continued. “And I go, ‘You’re going to have to put your phone down now.’ And she goes, ‘Oh my god!,’ and then she knew what was happening.”

He said their families had been waiting “upstairs” at an “art gallery” to hear the news once the engagement was successfully completed. Reeve told PEOPLE that the night was “the happiest night of our lives and we can’t wait to spend forever together."

According toHello! Magazine, the two went public with their relationship in April 2023 and had previously sparked rumors of engagement.
